Synopsis
Twenty-five years after the eruption ofMount Pinatubo devastated their province andnearly wiped out their cultural heritage, youngKapampangans find themselves unable andunwilling to speak their own language. One boy,Jaypee, ventures into the ash-coveredcountryside where he encounters the guardian oftheir vanishing language, Conrado Guinto, thecrowned king of Kapampangan poets.Conrado considers Jaypee as a heaven-sentopportunity to pass on his legacy to the nextgeneration,while Jaypee thinks he has hit thejackpot in finding the best person to help himwin the affection of a girl in school. Both of themare in for a disappointment as their lives begin tounravel before each other's eyes.
