Director Biography
Rajiv Chilaka had a dream of building a company which would be the Disney of India. He left a cozy software job in the US and went to study animation at the Academy of Art, San Francisco. After completing his studies, he moved back to India and pursued his passion and profound interest in animation and started Green Gold. He has built Green Gold from a 1 person organization to a company that employs over 350 people. He is the creator of various animated TV shows such as, Bongo, Vikram Betal, Krishna, Chhota Bheem, Krishna Balram, Chorr Police, Mighty Raju, Luv Kushh and Arjun. He has directed 3 theatrical movies – Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan, Chhota Bheem and the Throne of Bali and Mighty Raju – Rio Calling.
Rajiv Chilaka has received many accolades and awards, most notably, SCE Alumni Achievement Award from UMKC, ABAI Leadership Excellence award and CII Regional Emerging Entrepreneurs Award. His creation, Chhota Bheem has gone on to become the most successful Indian animated TV series and he expanded the company’s business into multiple domains such as Licensing, Merchandising, Retail Stores, Events, Digital Business and Movie Distribution. Rajiv holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from University of Missouri at Kansas City, USA and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Telecommunications from the Osmania University.
