Jyothi Kalyan Sura is a storyteller who hails from Hyderabad in South India. A jack-of-all-trades since a young age, Kalyan excelled in academic and co-curricular activities alike, earning accolades in fields ranging from Mathematics Olympiads to Painting, and Storywriting contests. After completing his Bachelor's in Computer Science Engineering from a premier Technology Institute in India, Kalyan joined DreamWorks Animations, where he contributed to critically and commercially acclaimed Animation features films like How to Train Your Dragon 2. Currently, Kalyan is pursuing his Masters in Film and Television Production at USC with an emphasis on Writing, Directing and Visual Effects. Over the last three years, Kalyan wrote over 15 short films, 2 features, 1 novel and directed 5 short films. He currently serves as the President of the Visual Effects Society of USC. Possessing a rare blend of technical and creative skills that he can juggle with sophisticated dexterity at will, Kalyan aims to work at the intersection of storytelling and technology.
