Synopsis

In the Russian provinces life seems to have frozen since the 1990s. Here you can hide from the worries of the big world, and heal the wounds of the soul. Thus argues Mila, having decided to return home to the mother’s house after an unsuccessful attempt “to conquer Moscow”. Mila’s sister Galya also wants happiness without thinking about the price. The passion that is aroused in the women by Rustam, a young handsome man from Central Asia, disrupts the family peace. A terrible enlightenment awaits the participants of this family drama. The film is based on the well-known play “Clay Pit”.

Director Biography

Vera Glagoleva (31 January 1956 – 16 August 2017) was a Russian actress and film director. Glagoleva was born in Moscow, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union in 1956. She starred in her first film in 1975 after graduating from high school. She was known for her roles in melodramas and romantic comedies, and her most known roles were particularly in At the End of the World, Do Not Shoot at White Swans, To Marry a Captain , Poor Sasha, and in Offending Women is Not Recommended . She made her directorial debut in 1990. In 2014, on the screens she released her film Two Women, the main role which was performed by Ralph Fiennes. Glagoleva was awarded the People's Artist of Russia in 2011.
